We have great news!
The St. James Middle School Computer Lab received all new computers this year AND we’ve issued each Middle School scholar a new Laptop!
The whole School is going on a TREK for TECH to cover these and other technology expenses, and we need your help!
Our Trek for Tech walk will begin Friday, Sept. 16th at 8:30 a.m.
We hope many of our parents will choose to walk with us for a nominal $35 contribution per parent (must pre-register online here). The walk will begin with Primary School leading us around our inner campus block of South Carancahua and Upper Broadway (not crossing any streets), and they will finish their walk at the playground! Lower and Middle Schools will continue their walk to the Bayfront. Lower School will walk to the Yacht Club and back (1 mile), and Middle School will walk to the Selena Memorial Statue and back (1.5 miles).
Our Trek for Tech goal is $75,000!
We want to encourage each scholar to call ten people who are NOT their parents and ask them each for a $35 donation. If each scholar raised at least $350, we would exceed our goal! All donations are 100% tax deductible.
While we hope our scholars will choose to help us because it’s the “RIGHT THING TO DO!”, we will also award special prizes to scholars for reaching specific fundraising goals as shown on the Prize Sheet sent home with scholars. Here are just a few of the great perks your scholar will want:
- Each scholar who raises ANY amount of money will get Free Dress on the day of the walk, Sept. 16th.
- Each scholar who raises $100+ will also get a second Free Dress Day on Sept. 19th.
- Each 1st-8th Grade scholar who raises $250+ will get a Free Homework Pass.
- Each scholar who reaches the $350 goal will enjoy an afternoon Movie and Popcorn Party.
- Each PP—4th Grade scholar who raises $500+ can attend a Whataburger Lunch w/ Mrs. Hoffstadt.
- Each Middle School scholar who raises $500+ will get to spend one hour in a Gaming Truck on campus.
- The top earning Pre-Primary—Kinder scholar will get to be their Teacher’s Helper for a morning;
The top earning 1st—4th Grade scholar will get to be Coach for a morning;
The top earning 5th—8th Grade scholar will receive a $100 Gift Card! - 5th-8th Grade Middle School Wide Goal – If the entire MS raises $13,000 (avg. $300 per scholar), each scholar will get to attend a two-hour “Free Play” party in the Gym with snacks, drinks, music, a chance to change into free dress, and use cell phones.
All donations are due by 9:30 AM on Thursday, September 15th.
