This scripture has been our mantra for the past eleven years. We continue to have such glorious hope for the future of St. James Episcopal School. Our priority as a Christian faith-based school is to foster, encourage, and nurture the spiritual lives of our scholars. As we grow stronger as a community of faith and focus on the guidance provided us through the Bible, we are seeing the evidence daily of the Lord’s blessings. Our whole community is working together to foster a sense of unity and belonging that creates and nurtures an attitude of excellence and determination, an environment of kindness and inclusiveness, and a passion for knowledge and learning.
St. James is continuing to flourish as our scholars excel, working diligently to exemplify behaviors which will ensure they become leaders in our homes, churches, cities, states, and in our nation. Our scholars are enthusiastic learners who set goals, take time to ponder, and think critically. Our exceptional teaching staff continues to use deep questioning and gifted and talented thinking strategies in multiple ways to empower our scholars to think, learn, and communicate effectively. Scholars receive an academically rigorous curriculum which requires them to prove their answers with evidence and use high level thinking processes. The fruits of their labors are evident in their successes! We love celebrating their accomplishments!
We are proud to provide an outstanding Athletic Program and Outdoor Education (ODE) program. Most impressive in all our activities is the teamwork, respect, and genuine comradery evident among the scholars. As we focus on our mission for our scholars to lead a “meaningful life”, we know character development, life skills, and scholarly behaviors are crucial to their success. Our scholars truly love one another and build relationships that become lifelong friendships. These connections bond them together as a Community of Leaders who are of the same mind, having the same love, and sharing the same hope for our bright future!
