Friends of St. James

The Friends of St. James is an organization which promotes the interest and endeavors of St. James Episcopal School. Parent volunteers meet the first Tuesday of the month to help plan events to support our teachers and our school. Every family is a member of the Friends of St. James. Your tuition includes the annual membership dues of $10. With it, you will receive a school directory. “Friends” (as it is often called) offers many opportunities for parent participation in the projects that enhance the learning environment and benefits the school. With the help of volunteers, “Friends” facilitates a number of projects throughout the year:
Fall Festival (in October)
Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day (in November)
Book Fair ( November)
Breakfast with Santa (in December)
Collection of Box Tops (for fundraising)
Birthday Book Club Coordination of Room Parents for Teacher and class support

Each year (providing they have a surplus budget), the Friends of St. James provide a gift to the school. In 2013, Friends gave the gift of technology by purchasing a mobile iPad cart for scholars to use in their classrooms.
